Registration
Pre-registration
is open to all families who currently have, or have previously
had children registered in our program. Registration is not
determined on a first-come, first served basis.
Pre-registration for the September 2012 to June 2013 school
year will take place in the Bearspaw Lifestyle Centre,
• Wednesday, January 11th, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
• Thursday, January 12th, 10:30 am - 1:00 pm
Priority at pre-registration will be given in the following
order *:
a.) Children currently enrolled in Bearspaw Preschool, same time
slot
b.) Children currently enrolled in Bearspaw Preschool, change
of time slot
c.) Siblings of children currently enrolled in Bearspaw Preschool
d.) Siblings of children previously enrolled in Bearspaw Preschool
e.) Children who were previously enrolled in a program but withdrew
prior to current year registration (minimum four weeks attendance)
* If, at any level of priority, more applications are received
than spots are available, positions will be filled by lottery.
Once all spots are taken, the remaining registrants will be put
on the waitlist in an order also determined by lottery.
Important: Pre-registration forms must be completed
and signed by January 12th in order to retain their priority status.
Forms not signed by this date will be submitted with regular registration
forms according to regular registration priority guidelines.
Regular Registration
for September 2012 to June 2013 will take place at the preschool
(location TBA)
• Wednesday, February 1st, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
• Thursday, February 2nd, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Priority at regular registration will be given in the following
order*:
a.) Bearspaw Residents (as defined by Bearspaw School Boundaries);
proof of residency required.
b.) Siblings of children previously enrolled in Bearspaw Preschool
who missed the pre-registration deadline.
c.) All other registrations will be given spots based on availability.
* If, at any level of priority, more applications are received
than spots are available, positions will be filled by lottery.
Once all spots are taken, the remaining registrants will be put
on the waitlist in an order also determined by lottery.
After registration nights, any new registrations
will be processed on a first come basis for any remaining spots.
If there are no spots available, applicants will be put on the
waitlist in the order that they are received.
Registration Requirements
In order for applications to be considered complete,
they must include:
• Completed registration forms, see links below. All
information (2 pages) must be complete. Incomplete forms
will NOT be processed.
• Signed copies of all release forms.
• Four cheques payable to the Bearspaw Preschool
Society (see amounts listed under Class Times and Tuition
Fees, below). All cheques MUST be submitted at the
time of registration to secure a position.
There will be a $25 charge for NSF cheques.
• A membership for the Bearspaw Glendale Community Association
MUST be purchased from the Bearspaw Lifestyle Centre on or before
the first day of classes.
Registration forms:
Please e-mail completed online registration forms to registrar@bearspawpreschool.com,
at least 2 days prior to the (pre-)registration session that you
plan to attend (see instructions on the registration form cover
page). You should then receive a confirmation e-mail to let you
know that your forms have been processed and will be available
for you to sign at (pre-) registration. A parent or legal guardian
MUST ATTEND one registration session to sign
documents and submit cheques. You do not need to print
a copy of these forms, unless you would like to have
a copy for your own records.
*** Please keep in mind that the Bearspaw Preschool Board is
made up entirely of parent volunteers. Advance online submission
is preferable, however we don’t want to exclude anyone!
Forms submitted less than 2 days in advance will be processed
if time permits. If you do not receive an e-mail confirmation
of receipt of registration forms, or if you are unable to submit
your forms online, please print and sign a copy of your completed
registration form, as well as the release forms document, and
bring them with you to registration.
NOTE: Bearspaw Preschool has a no diapers, no pull-ups
policy. All children must be potty trained in order
to attend.

Note: Registrants must be 3 years of age by December 31st (i.e.
2 years and 8 months at the start of the school year). No exceptions.

(i.e. 3 years and 6 months at the start of the school year). No

We strongly recommend that you read the release forms prior to
registration (click on word document link above). If you have
submitted your registration forms online and received e-mail confirmation
that they have been processed, there is no need to print
or e-mail these; they will be prepared and available
for you to sign at (pre-)registration with your registration forms.
Confirmation of acceptance into the Bearspaw
Preschool program will be communicated via email on or before
February 4th, 2012.
Parents must accept or decline via email by February 6th,
2012
.
One month written notice is required for withdrawal from all
programs.
